Holy Family School is located on an eleven-acre site at 1900 St. Clair Avenue [Map It] with grades Kindergarten through eighth, staffed by 18 highly trained, state certified, and dedicated teachers. In addition to our faculty, Holy Family School employs an on-site counselor and two reading/math aides. Spiritual, physical, intellectual, emotional and social aspects are paramount in keeping with Holy Family School's Mission to develop the whole person while pursuing the highest academic standards. Classes include Religion, reading, math (including algebra), English, phonics, science, social studies, civics, art, music, band, physical education, spelling, penmanship, and computers. In addition to the core subjects, Holy Family offers weekly all-school Masses, a hot lunch program, Accelerated Reader, family living, and drug education. Students also participate in Science Fair, Speech League, Spelling Bee, Young Authors, Essay & Poetry Contests, Red Cross Safety Classes, third and fourth grade instructional basketball, track, D.A.R.E., and Student Council. Grades 4-8 students are also eligible for Honor Roll, and grades 5-8 may participate in basketball and volleyball. Rainbows for All God's Children is available for students that have experienced a loss due to separation, divorce, or death. A Christmas Pageant and a Spring Concert are held every year, highlighting all the students' musical talents. Parents' involvement is welcome throughout the year. Grandparents are given a special time to visit each month as every grade takes a turn inviting them to lunch. Community service is encouraged through the Dominic Savio Singing Club and through service hours students perform when preparing for Confirmation.

The Learning Center offers preschool, daycare, and before and after school care for the parish community. We provide an atmosphere of love and concern while giving children an opportunity to develop spiritually, intellectually, physically, and emotionally. We have a curriculum designed to provide for individual differences in learning styles, and endeavor to assist children in attaining independence and positive self-attitudes. |
